Don’t drink and drive!
If you are pulled over in the State of Florida and there is an open container of alcohol in the car, the driver, the passenger or both can be given a ticket. Besides, you don’t want your Spring Break memories to include someone’s death or permanent injury as a result of your drinking and driving. Downer:-(

Don’t drink just anywhere!
We have a law in our little beach community that states that you can’t drink on or within 50 feet of any road or any public parking lot. Remember that if you decide to take a stroll along “The Strip.”

Don’t get carried too away!
Most Breakers are here to escape the “scholastic stress,” but don’t take leave of your senses. A fine line exists between partying hard and disorderly conduct. Breakers who breach the peace, put themselves or another in danger of physical harm or death, or engage in fights or displays of public nudity, in whole or in part, face charges of disorderly conduct.

Go cruising with caution!
Cruising The Strip is a Panama City Beach Spring Break tradition. Just keep in mind that riding on the exterior of a vehicle is against the law. Our local law enforcement describes the exterior as the roof, hood, trunk, bumpers, tailgate, running boards, window or sunroof. Beach police say that standing in the bed of a truck or even sitting on the sides of the bed of a truck are also against the law.

Respect our area!
Hey, we don’t throw our trash where you live. Don’t throw your garbage in our backyard. While you may just be passing through, remember that there are thousands of people just like you and your loved ones who live here year-round. When you scatter your waste on the roads and beaches or vandalize our facilities, you hurt the locals and contribute to their resentment. Make sure that you leave our area beautiful so its stays that way for the next time you visit. Also, hotel room items (towels, chairs, etc…) are not permitted to leave the hotel and carrying them off to the beach is considered theft or vandalism.

Don’t play Spiderman!
You might think balcony climbing is cool, but it’s really, really dangerous. Several people have died resulting from injuries sustained while hanging from or jumping over a hotel balcony. Be smart and be safe. Balcony climbing is punishable by fine, jail time or possibly even death.

So, Spring Break is here,  finals are over and you’ve turned in all your term papers. But, honestly, your measly student budget, which consists of your $9.00 an hour working at Footlocker the occasional student loan doesn’t necessarily equate with five-star hotels and fine restaurants. But what if it could? That’s where Panama City Beach comes in and gives you the vacation of your life on a beach unlike any in America. On your budget, you and all your friends can have a great vacation, keeping the lint in your pocket in green company.

Clubs and Bars

Panama City Beach nightlife is legendary. The superclubs are world-renowned for attracting celebrities and thousands of patrons at a time ready to party the night away. The bars are always packed and exciting on a nightly basis. And then there’s places like Sharky’s, Harpoon Harry’s and Hammerhead Fred’s where, all day and all night the party does not stop. Drinks, Food, Dancing…every night is a great night on Panama City Beach.

Lounging

So you’ve been working hard all semester. The seasons have changed and its absolutely frosty outside. Your desktop background is an image of crystal-blue beach, perfect white sand and swaying palm trees. You think that place is just an computer generated mirage or at best a faraway island you neither have the passport nor the funds to reach. If only you could just lounge around on a white, sandy, gorgeous beach. That’s where Panama City Beach makes all your dreams come true with the most magnificent beach in America and you don’t need a passport or losts of cash to get you out of your snow jackets,  into a swimsuit and lounging around on the worlds most beautiful beach.

Panama City Beach is one of the most exciting cities in all of Northwest Florida. There is so much to see and do from the thrilling places like Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, Wonderworks and the Cobra Theme Park to the natural beauty of St. Andrews State Park, you’ll never be bored.  If you’ve ever wanted to see a dolphin, ride a jet ski, reverse-bungi-jump, parasail, eat a pound of crablegs and dance until the sun comes up all in one day, you should be on Panama City Beach.

Weather

Do you know the average temperature for Panama City Beach? No? 78°. That’s right, a magnificent 78°, which I’ll bet for some of you is warmer than your summer days. Early spring begins late January where you will find “snowbirds” (winter vacationers) walking the beach, tanning and building sandcastles. Summer temperatures are in full swing by April, warming the gulf enough for water sports and excellent fishing. And the Fall, my personal favorite, keeps the nights a cool 68 – 75° , perfect for seasonal outings and dinner cruises.

Free Stuff

Every year thousands of college kids head to Panama City Beach to party. They may or may not realize that as they come, so to do all sorts of nationally recognized sponsors wanting to test out all sorts of swag. Basically, just by coming down to the sunniest, most spring-break ready place on earth, you get access to loads of free stuff.

The Crowds

The shores Panama City Beach pack in thousands of Spring Breakers each year, from schools all over the world. That means you get to party with all the people for your school, all the people from your school’s rivals and all kinds of schools you never even heard of.  Every year the crowds make it a good time. Dining

Good food can be found in many places. Great food, however, cannot. You might’ve had a dream once where you thought you had great food. It wasn’t great food. You haven’t enjoyed truly great food until you’ve tasted Firefly’s Espresso-braised Free-range Texas Boar Shank. Firefly is one of the most elegant dining experiences on the beach. The food is upscale, the setting is intimate and you will not find a trendier place for Martini’s. Also try the Ahi Tuna with the soy-lime ginger sauce. You’ll swear off cooking for a week.

Shopping

Panama City Beach’s recent and biggest addition is Pier Park, an outdoor mall and entertainment boardwalk. Tourists and locals alike absolutely love Pier Park. If not for the great stores, then for the state-of-the-art movie theater, or the most unique restaurants in all of NW Florida, or the outdoor amphitheater with live summer shows. It can be any of those things, but my guess is everyone loves it because of the choo-choo train. Who doesn’t love a choo-choo train? Pier Park stands alone complete with festivals, events, rallies and all sorts of cool stuff normal “malls” just don’t have. Not to mention it’s on the beach. Come to PCB and go to Pier Park. If you don’t go to Pier Park you haven’t really vacationed on Panama City Beach.
